Description

Drago Dell'Etna Lemon gin is a distillate characterised by a fresh, citrus flavour profile, which is obtained by infusing lemon peel and other botanicals into the gin.

Drago dell'Etna

One of the oldest legends in Greek-Italian mythology tells that Her Majesty Etna, daughter of the primeval gods who forged the world, harboured a monstrous creature.
At birth, this creature was destined by Mother Earth to a relentless struggle against Zeus, who imprisoned it in the bowels of the mountain itself.
Hence came the impetuous fury of Typhon, known as the personification of the underworld.
A creature in the guise of a giant beast with a hundred dragon heads who, out of his pain and affliction, spits fire and lava and at every attempt to free himself from this eternal condemnation, unleashes terrible earthquakes.

The "Etna Dragon" gin is inspired by the 4 natural elements:

Water

Gin botanico aria

Air

Earth

Gin arancia rossa fuoco

Fire

So, like Typhon and his connection with Mother Earth, with every taste you will be inebriated, creating a bond with each sip that will release ardour and excitement, enveloped in flavours and aromatic herbs to make the experience pleasant and unforgettable.

Organoleptic characteristics

Taste

Sour and refreshing, with predominant citric notes that balance with the taste of juniper, offering a pleasant freshness that makes it ideal to enjoy chilled.

Colour

Clear, bright yellow.

Density

It is similar to that of other gins, so it is relatively light and is perceived as smooth and fluid on the palate.

Combinations

Quite iversatile and can be paired with:

  • Tonics: perfect with tonic water for a classic refreshing gin and tonic.
  • Cocktails: excellent in cocktails such as gin fizz or gimlet, where the lemon flavour can stand out.
  • Food: pairs well with light appetisers, fish dishes, salads and citrus desserts.

This relationship of freshness and lightness makes it particularly suitable for warm summer evenings and convivial occasions.
